Spring cleaning is a great time to check the food labels in your kitchen for hidden sugars. Most food items in America have added sugar. Not only does it affect your immune system, but over time too much sugar can result in diseases like diabetes and obesity. Surprisingly items like salad dressings, crackers, seasonings, frozen foods and even vanilla extract can sneak in sugar. Toss products that do not serve you and seek out healthier alternatives.
“There are 600,000 food items in America, 80% of them have added sugar”, reports Dr. Robert Lustig, Professor of Pediatrics, University of California-San Francisco.
