GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) See history come to life with a chance to spend a Night at Your Museum.

Night at Your Museum at Grand Rapids Public Museum takes place on Saturday, December 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. The event is based on the popular 2006 and 2009 movies.

Using a souvenir flashlight and honorary security guard badge in the dimly-lit museum, visitors become part of the drama that unfolds as characters from the museum’s exhibits come to life.  Medieval knights will duel with swords, Native Americans will perform ceremonial dances in full regalia, and Civil War soldiers will reenact skirmishes. Guests can take a ride on the Spillman Carousel, catch a Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ concert, and see a planetarium show in the newly renovated Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium.

Maranda is giving away a chance to experience a Night at Your Museum. Register online to win one of two family four-packs of tickets. The winner will be picked on Monday, December 15.
