Students express themselves through film

A scene in the Mosaic Film Experience

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Each year, young people across the world are invited to express themselves through the art of film during the Mosaic Film Experience.

The Mosaic Film Experience is Michigan’s premier emerging filmmakers event. Last year, more than 750 films were submitted from 46 different countries. The event is a platform for young people to showcase their talents, abilities, and gifts. It offers them a voice and a chance for them to learn communication, collaboration, and that they have a place in society.

Ferris State University is part of the event to support young people and the chance for them to express themselves. At Ferris students have the chance to study subjects in similar fields such as digital animation game design, short films, media production, and software engineering.

Cash prizes are awarded to the top three films from each category in the Mosaic Film Experience. To see a list of this year’s winners, visit
