Help feed local students this holiday season

IM3rd meal

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)-Are you looking for a way to give back to your community during the holiday season? Here’s one way you can help this holiday season. The IM (Ionia-Montcalm) Kids 3rd Meal program is working to provide food insecure children in our communities with their evening meal, Monday through Friday.  Ionia County and Montcalm County have 3,530 and 4,090 food insecure children, respectively, who run the risk of a school lunch being their last meal of the day. The program provides an evening meal to nearly 300 children each day with a goal of reaching 500 food insecure children. The program currently provides evening meals to food insecure students at Emerson Elementary School in Ionia and Walnut Hills in Greenville. This program is only possible with community support.
