West Michigan Harvest Cluster AKC Dog Show, Kalamazoo Co. Expo Center
Thursday, November 6 – Sunday, November 9, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
AKC all breed dog show. Conformation, obedience trials and rally trials all four days. $5 per vehicle per day or $15 for a four day pass.
Gillette Nature Association’s Turkey Trail Run, P.J. Hoffmaster State Park
Saturday, November 8, 9 a.m. – noon
A 5K race through the back dunes of Lake Michigan. Little Turkey one mile trot starts at 10:30 a.m. Registration for 5K is $30. Little Turkey Trot is free.
Special Families Fun Fest, DeltaPlex, Walker
Saturday, November 8, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
An event dedicated to individuals with special needs and their families. Carnival games, crafts, face painting, sensory room, petting zoo, music, vendors, prizes, and more! Tickets are $5 and include ten game tickets. Additional game tickets can be purchased.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Holland Museum
Through January 3, 2015
Walk through a pop-up book of the classic story with hands-on activities and interactive exhibits. Free for museum members. Non-members: $7 for adults, $4 for students, children under 6 are free.
Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship, Grand Rapids Public Museum
Through April 19
Learn the real story of a sunken pirate ship. See real pirate treasure, walk through a replica pirate ship, learn all about the lives of real pirates. Members: $10-$12. Non-members: $12-$17. Includes general admission.
