GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Eleven-year-old Eli is one of the youngest people to raise money for Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. After his grandfather died of skin cancer, Eli decided he wanted to give back to people who make a difference, and chose Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. He started “Bish & Bash,” making Christmas ornaments to sell. So far, he has raised $7,000. Eli’s first sale of the 2014 season is at the Caledonia Community Schools annual craft show at Duncan Lake Middle School on Saturday, November 1. His goal for this season is to raise $5,000.
Eighteen-year-old Peter took a gift from his grandfather and turned it into a passion. He received a magic set at the age of five and now dedicates a lot of his time to perfecting his skills. Peter is from Decatur and attends Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
