GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)-It was a big weekend for the Metro Health Hospital Foundation, as hundreds of guests stepped out for an evening of fine dining, dancing and entertainment, at DeVos Place.The special evening is one where an outpouring of generosity helps to change the lives of people in our community. The annual Feelin’ Grand Gala raised $416,000 prior to the event with sponsorships, tickets and outright donations. The event’s Paddle Raise added an additional $45,000 in donations to the cause.

Through screenings, early detection of serious illnesses saves lives. These programs are changing the lives of thousands of men, women and children in our community.The Metro Health Hospital Foundation helps people in our community access wellness opportunities, who many not otherwise be able to afford them. Each year, the Metro Health Hospital Foundation provides free community health screenings and education programs that address common, costly health problems with programs such as:
Flu Shot Clinics
Peripheral Artery Disease Community Screenings
Coping with Cancer Support Groups
High School Student Heart Screens
Germ Away School Program
Mammograms for undeserved individuals in the community
