GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The Kent County Health Department has a new program to help kids and families in need of dental care. The Michigan Community Dental Clinics runs 23 public dental clinics in counties across the state. It’s now partnering with the Kent County Health Department to offer dental services to people who are unable to get to a dentist.
The dental clinic is available for people who are Medicaid-eligible or earn 200% or less than poverty. That means almost 200,000 people in Kent County qualify for the program.
The dental clinic is at the health department’s South Clinic at 4700 Kalamazoo SE in Kentwood. The Rapid does make a stop at the clinic.
