Restaurant Week kicks off with a special event

Restaurant Week, Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Restaurant Week is right around the corner, and to heighten the excitement, Experience Grand Rapids will launch Restaurant Week Grand Rapids with a special kickoff event. Guess-the-Ingredients Contest will put taste buds of community leaders and local media personalities to the test.

Each contestant will receive a dish made by Grand Rapids Community College’s Secchia Institute for Culinary Education and will need to identify as many ingredients as possible in the dish, within three minutes. The winner will claim the inaugural title: “Restaurant Week Grand Rapids Taste Master”. Restaurant Week will begin on August 13 and run through August 24. This year’s promotion will feature three-course meals for $28 or two for $28 at more than 60 area participating restaurants. Click here for Restaurant list and menus.
