BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOTV) The E.S.C.A.P.E. Fire Safety smoke trailer is an exciting spot at every Maranda Park Party. E.S.C.A.P.E. has been in the community for 19 years and has been coming to Maranda Park Parties for ten years. This year, at the Maranda Park Party in Battle Creek, they will have the one millionth child go through their smoke trailer.
E.S.C.A.P.E. loves Maranda Park Parties because they’re a chance for them to educate children and families on the dangers of fire and take information home so they can be prepared and prevent fires from happening.
The smoke trailer demonstration shows families what would happen if a fire occurs in their home. The trailer fills with theatrical fog. Participants get to see where the smoke enters, how to stop it from entering, and watch Jake show them how to crawl low under the smoke.
The one millionth child to go through the smoke trailer in Battle Creek on July 31 will receive an awesome package of prizes! They include passes to Great Wolf Lodge, a Meijer gas card, thanks to Liberty Mutual Insurance, free haircuts, smoke alarms, free CPR and first aid training, Jake the Fire Safety Dog sunglasses, an E.S.C.A.P.E. baseball cap, and an E.S.C.A.P.E. t-shirt.
