GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)- Today, thousands of kids and families joined Maranda for an afternoon of free fun at Smith-Ryerson Park in Muskegon. The blue skies and lakeshore breeze made for a picture-perfect day for some Park Party Fun! It was the fourth party in a series of five events that will be celebrating 20 years of free family fun with Maranda.
“Today was a beautiful day in Muskegon for the fourth Park Party of the summer. Over 4,800 kids and families enjoyed a day of free fun. This Park Party truly was a celebration of community and unity,” said Maranda.
The Muskegon Park Party hosted thousands of local families who came early to enjoy a free picnic-style lunch in the park courtesy of the Michigan Department of Education and the area public schools.
Kids danced the afternoon away in front of the ESCAPE Performance Stage, while others enjoyed games, rides and tons of free prizes from Maranda and her generous partners.
Smith-Ryerson Park was filled with vendors providing a variety of free services, information and activities. The birthday-themed celebration included cupcakes, ice cream, balloons, free photos, snacks and so much more. The Park Party line-up includes a final stop for the season in Battle Creek on July 31st.
