Maranda brings Park Parties to Ionia

IONIA, Mich. (WOTV) Maranda is celebrating the 20th birthday of Park Parties by partnering with the Ionia Free Fair! Families can make a day out of the party that doubles as a fair, providing plenty of extra activities! The party is on Thursday, July 17.

Free parking will be available to guests; after the front lots are filled, the back lots behind the barn will be open for parking. Plenty of security will be provided to partygoers by the Ionia Department of Public Safety.

If you’re looking to clean out your closet, Goodwill will be there, giving McDonald’s gift cards to the first 100 families to donate a bag of gently used clothing.

Best of all, the fun doesn’t stop after the party! Partygoers can stick around for a circus with free elephant rides and motorcycle riders attempting “The Globe of Death.” The circus starts at 3 p.m.

The Maranda Park Party is from noon to 2 p.m. Free lunch for anyone under age 18 starts at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last.
