BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOTV) Crandall Family Dairy, just north of Battle Creek, has been a family-run business since the land was purchased in 1883. It’s now on its fifth generation of owners, run by two brothers.
The farm covers about 1,000 acres. Eight hundred of them are for crops used to feed the dairy cows. The farm started with about 60 cows and is now up to about 300.
The Crandall family gets the kids involved in many aspects of the farm, including helping milk cows, feeding baby calves, and walking their 4H calves.
