Holland Park Party draws 5,800 people

Today, thousands of kids and families joined Maranda for an afternoon of free fun at Kollen Park.  The Holland Park Party was packed with an estimated 5,800 smiling faces enjoying the blue skies, lakeshore breeze and picture perfect summer weather.  It was the second party in a series of five events that will be celebrating 20 years of free family fun with Maranda.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate family and free fun in Holland. We had an amazing turnout. It was great to have so many companies and nonprofit organizations represented and to have families come out for a great time with us,” said Maranda.

The Holland Park Party hosted thousands of local families who came early to enjoy a free picnic-style lunch in the park courtesy of the Michigan Department of Education and the area public schools.

Kids enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon of free fun with activities!  From a spin on the Dixie Twister to conquering the Ferris State climbing wall, there was something for everyone.

Kollen Park was filled with vendors providing a variety of free services, information and activities.  The birthday themed celebration included cupcakes, ice cream, balloons, free photos, snacks and prizes from generous partners and community organizations.
