GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Some kids at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital got a unique opportunity to shave some staff members’ heads!
The program was called Baldies R Us. It was the idea of some employees to give kids the opportunity to shave some staff members’ heads because the kids didn’t have the choice to lose their hair.
The patients had to write an essay saying why they should be the one to make their staff look like the rest of the ninth floor residents.
One of the staff members grew his hair out for three years. When it was cut for the event, he donated it for wigs.
