GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV)- Get ready for one of the biggest free birthday parties in West Michigan! Maranda’s Park Parties celebrate 20 years and the fun kicks of Thursday June 26th at Lamar Park in Wyoming. Each Park Party is held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. and everyone is invited and everything is free!
This summer marks the 20th anniversary of Maranda providing free family fun for thousands of kids around West Michigan!
“It is hard to believe we’re on our 20th year of Park Parties, but it’s also incredibly exciting to think we’ve been able to provide so many years of free fun for West Michigan families,” said Maranda.
The Wyoming Park Party is bigger and better than ever! Lamar Park will be filled with more than 50 different vendors providing a variety of free services, information and activities. To kick off the celebration Meijer will be giving away cupcakes (while supplies last), birthday cards, fresh apples and more!
Kids can take a spin down the Fifth Third Super Slide and the first 200 kids to visit this special area will get a free tee-shirt! Also in Wyoming, Country Fresh is super sizing the experience for families with Ruthie the Cow, Ruthie’s Bounce House, Tru Moo and ice novelties.
Once again in working with USDA, Michigan Department of Education and local school districts, free lunch will be served to anyone 18 and under starting at 11:30 a.m., while supplies last. Every Park Party also includes free activities, games, entertainment and of course prizes!
This year Maranda and the Park Party team will be traveling to five communities bringing a supersized celebration to all.
