The life of a professional female golfer

BELMONT, Mich. (WOTV) Meijer is bringing female golfers from around the world to West Michigan as part of the Meijer LPGA Classic in August.

One of those golfers is Morgan Pressel. She started golfing at eight years old, and qualified for the Women’s Open at 12 years old. Now 26, she is a professional golfer. She says it took a lot of hard work, dedication, and even some sacrifice to get where she is today, but she loves it.

Pressel is playing with Meijer to raise money for their Simply Give program. A $10 donation is converted into a Meijer food-only gift card and distributed to local food pantries. The program has already generated more than $5 million. You can buy a $10 donation card form the Simply Give displays near the checkout, or donate online by clicking here.

The Meijer LPGA Classic is August 4 through 10 at Blythefield Country Club. You can get tickets by clicking here. Everyone 17 and under is free!
