Kids day is Friday. Carnival rides and live entertainment at a low cost with a family friendly environment. $1 carnival rides from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. $3 adult admission includes Whispering Pines Mobile Zoo, Great Lakes Timber Show, and Barnyard Express.
Summer Luge, Muskegon Winter Sports Complex
Friday, June 21 – Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Take a ride on a luge that’s modified for use in the warm weather! $10 per person for unlimited runs. Must be at least five years old.
West Michigan Chalk Art Festival, 84th St. & Byron Center Ave., Byron Center
Friday, June 20 – Saturday, June 21, noon – 9 p.m.
Artists display their creativity and imagination and demonstrate the many varieties of chalk art. Children, adults, families and businesses are invited to create their own art using chalk. Face painting and activities for the kids!
Sand Sculpture Contest, Grand Haven City Beach
Saturday, June 21, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Teams, families, and individuals are judged and awarded prizes after two hours of constructing unique sculptures along Lake Michigan. Registration available online.
Science Sunday, Frederik Meijer Gardens
Sunday, June 22, 1 p.m.
Become a science sleuth on Sundays! Learn facts about frogs, investigate interesting insects, find out about fossils, or explore terrific trees by participating in family-friendly activities. Check at the information center for which program will be offered that day.
