GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Hundreds of community members laced up their shoes and stepped onto the pavement at Berlin Raceway, in Marne. Families from near and far who have been touched by the generosity of Lori Hastings and her husband, Dave, joined at the raceway to support their cause.
Lori’s Voice is a non-profit organization established by Lori Hastings which provides equipment, educational resources, and medical assistance to children with muscular, neurological and other degenerative diseases. Lori knows what it’s like to live a life filled with challenges. At a young age, Lori was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy.
Through Lori’s own experiences, she realized the need for extensive services that are often not covered by medical insurance. Lori’s mission is to make a difference in the lives of those who desperately need medical equipment and medical assistance. This is what has inspired her to form the non-profit, Lori’s Voice. From the numerous supporters at the Walk-A-Thon, it’s easy to see that Lori’s Voice is speaking volumes to individuals with special abilities.
