GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Summer is the perfect time for kids to go to camp! The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Grand Rapids offers wonderful opportunities for kids of all ages. Their day camps include arts and crafts, archery, a slip and slide, an indoor aquatic center, as well as fitness classes and outings.
The Kroc Center tries to impact kids mind, heart, body, and soul. A day at camp includes learning a bible verse, playing outside, going on a nature walk, lunch, swimming, climbing the rock wall, archery, and other activities. The day usually ends with songs and crafts.
Families say they love the Kroc Center day camps because they don’t have to worry about making plans or keeping the kids occupied while the parents are at work. Many kids come back year after year and make lasting friendships. Some can even take on leadership roles as junior counselors when they get older.
