Teaching men to be strong fathers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Being a dad can be one of the most rewarding experiences, but can also be difficult at times. Fortunately, there’s a group in West Michigan that encourages fathers to play a more active role in nurturing and raising their children.

Tony Jolliffi is the coordinator at Strong Fathers. The goal of the program is for fathers to take an active role in their children’s day to day lives. It focuses on education and five core values: integrity, responsibility, respect, faith, and community.

You can learn more about Strong Fathers at a fun event on Saturday, June 14. There will be open gym, games, food, and some education. It’s from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lifequest Urban Outreach Center at 1055 Fisk SE in Grand Rapids.
