GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WOTV) Rosie Accola is a creative spirit, she isn’t able to do everything she wants, but that doesn’t stop her. Rosie is featured in the School News Network‘s Grads with Grit series.
Rosie was born 6 to 7 weeks premature and suffered a brain bleed on the right side of her brain. That has impacted some of her learning when it comes to numbers and logic. But the creative side of the brain gets her places, she loves to write and create.
She recently graduated from East Grand Rapids high school and did makeup for the drama department and wrote plays for their 24-Hour Theatre. Rosie also has mild cerebral palsy, but she says she won’t let that stop her either. She can drive and holds down a job. Next year holds big things for Rosie, she’s attending the Art Institute of Chicago.
