Camp 911 teaches kids how to react in emergencies

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Registration is open now for a free, one-day camp in the greater Grand Rapids area.

Camp 911 is hosted by Life EMS Ambulance. It is geared toward kids ages nine through 11, teaching prevention techniques and safety lessons. Hands-on sessions will give kids the knowledge, skills, and confidence to protect themselves and react safely in emergency situations.

Lunch and snacks are provided. Camp activities also include:

  • Basic CPR and first aid lessons
  • Bike safety lessons
  • Fire safety and prevention sessions with demonstrations
  • Visits from local police departments and K-9 units
