The first Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards


GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) The Air Zoo continues to evolve and bring science to life for the community and, most importantly, the young minds of our future. They’ve now combined forces with Western Michigan University and will host the first Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards.

The awards are focused on recognizing inspired and inspiring high school students and K-12 teachers in West Michigan who are doing amazing things in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) education. They will be inducting four people in the Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame inside the Air Zoo, as well as honoring four students and five teachers.

The Science Innovation Hall of Fame Awards Gala and Dinner is Friday, May 16, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. It are open to the public. Tickets are $100 each. All net proceeds will benefit the Air Zoo’s STEAM education efforts in the Southwest Michigan community. For more information and registration details, click here.
