HOLLAND, Mich. (WOTV) There’s a fun exhibit at the Holland Arts Council that celebrates Dr. Seuss in a way most people have never seen. Hats Off to Dr. Seuss is in honor of Dr. Seuss’s second book. “The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins.” You can see Ted Geisel’s fantastic hat collection that, until now, was virtually unknown to the general public. The hats were collected by Geisel, inspiring many of his works that are so well known now.
Hats Off to Dr. Seuss also includes Seuss’s little-known “Secret Art,” a series of Estate authorized works adapted and reproduced from Ted Geisel’s original drawings, paintings, and sculpture.
The exhibit runs through May 11 at the Holland Area Arts Council on 8th Street. Admission is free.
