OLIVET, Mich. (WOTV) The E.S.C.A.P.E. Fire Safety team and Jake the Fire Safety Dog joined the Olivet Fire Department in Eaton County at the 2014 Olivet Community Wellness Fair on Tuesday, April 29, at Olivet Middle School.
The theme centered around more than 40 exhibitors with medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and mental health information, wholesome food ideas, weight management, senior citizen well being, ideas for family exercise and recreation, youth sports, camp sign ups, environmental concerns, home, fire and personal safety, and family gardening.
All activities were free. Printed material and product samples from a variety of exhibitors were distributed to attendees, there was free face painting for children, and free smoke alarms and batteries were available from E.S.C.A.P.E. and the Olivet Fire Department.
The Wellness Fair is organized by the Olivet Community School District Wellness Committee and sponsored by the Battle Creek Community Foundation, Gordon Food Service, the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and Olivet Schools Food Service.
