On Thursday, April, 24, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids received more than $10,000 in donations from Blue Care Network (BCN), Michigan Blood, and Grand Valley State University’s (GVSU) Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

BCN and Michigan Blood partnered with GCGR and LaughFest for the second year in a row to host blood drives during LaughFest. For every person that donated blood, BCN donated funds towards LaughFest’s High Five Campaign, which benefits GCGR’s children’s cancer, grief, and in-school emotional health programs. BCN donated $5,060, which was matched dollar for dollar through the High Five Campaign.

The second donation came from GVSU’s Delta Tau Delta fraternity, which raised more than $6,500 for GCGR through a head-shaving event held after one of the fraternity member’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.
