GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Summer camps are for nurturing, safe environments and provide hands-on life lessons that help kids become leaders. The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Grand Rapids offers just that. Their day camps include arts and crafts, archery, a slip and slide, an indoor aquatic center, as well as fitness classes and outings.
The Kroc Center tries to impact kids mind, heart, body, and soul. A day at camp includes learning a bible verse, playing outside, going on a nature walk, lunch, swimming, climbing the rock wall, archery, and other activities. The day usually ends with songs and crafts.
Officials at the Kroc Center say the day camps there are special because they offer so many different elements right in the city and give kids an opportunity to experience something new in a safe environment. For information on their summer camps, click here.
