GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Get a jump on some Easter fun with egg coloring, some friendly animal visitors, plus a complete list of West Michigan Easter egg hunts! Here are Maranda’s top picks for this week’s Five Star Family Fun Update:

Color Fest 2014 – Forever Curious Children’s Museum, Fennville
Thursday, April 17 – Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Bring your own hard boiled eggs to dye them in fun and new ways! $5 per person includes admission to the museum. Children under 1 and members are free!

“Junie B. Jones: Jingle Bells & Batman Smells”, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre
Friday, April 18 – Sunday, April 27
A children’s musical about a first grader having a tough Christmas. Tickets range from $10 to $16.

Binder Park Zoo, Battle Creek
Tuesday, April 22
The zoo opens for the season!

Easter with the Equest Bunny – Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding, Rockford
Saturday, April 19, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Petting zoo, face painting, wagon rides, live music, arts and crafts, breakfast munchies and drinks, meet and share treats with therapy horses, egg hunts. Tickets are free, but donations are appreciated. Call (616) 866-3066 for tickets.
