GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Easter crafts are a great way to spend time with family. The options are endless, so there’s something for everyone!
One West Michigan mom likes to have some hands-on fun to celebrate Easter. One idea is to create an “egg head.” All you have to do is cut a hole in the top of a raw egg and drain out the egg. Wash out the egg shell, and put back in the egg container. Stick a cotton ball inside the shell and get it a little bit wet. Pour in some seeds. Our mom uses wheat grass, cat grass, or even chives. Then you can let the kids decorate each shell. Through the next few days they can watch the egg grow “hair.”
You can make the egg heads extra special with googly eyes, mustaches, stickers, and other decorations from a craft store. Then as the plant grows, kids can cut the egg’s “hair.”
