GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) There is a program in Kent County that helps parents get hands-on help with their baby. Bright Beginnings is offered to all families that have children ages birth through five. It’s a parent support and early childhood program. A representative visits the home about once a month, and brings an activity that the parent shares with the child. They can see the interaction, how the baby responds, and guide the parent.
The program focuses on developmental stages and tracks where they baby is and what’s coming next, so parents know what to expect. If the baby has not reached a specific milestone, the representative can show the parent how to help the baby get to the next stage.
Bright Beginnings is free and open to all families.
