GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Students at Congress Elementary School in Grand Rapids got a chance to celebrate Absolutely Incredible Kid Day on March 20. The day was started 15 years ago by Camp Fire, a national youth organization.
Absolutely Incredible Kid Day honors children by asking adults to write letters to the kids in their lives, telling them why they’re incredible. The gesture is meant to encourage and inspire children and let them know why they’re special. The goal is for every child in America to receive a letter.
Congress held an assembly with the whole school, which was hosted by Maranda. Each student got a letter telling them how incredible they are.
