GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Under the Affordable Care Act, most Americans are required to carry health insurance or they face a penalty. So what does this mean for those who don’t have it or can’t afford it?
The deadline to enroll in a new Health Reform health plan through Priority Health is March 31. The plan provides better access for people, covers preventative care, and extends coverage to children up to 26 years old, who are on their parents’ insurance.
The Health Reform health plan through Priority Health allows people to compare and choose plans. You cannot be denied insurance or charged more for pre-existing conditions. There is financial aid, subsidies, and tax credits for those who qualify. For more information on the program, check out Priority Health’s website.
