GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) A nationwide initiative called “Teach. Play. Learn.” is enhancing learning through TinkerToys. The Goddard School in Grand Rapids has implemented it into their preschool program.
“Teach. Play. Learn.” encourages developing skills at an early age, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The initiative engages children, teachers, and families to work together on a problem-solving invention, which they then build with TinkerToys.
The Goddard School is the first preschool program to join P21, a national organization promoting 21st century skills. By teaching reading, writing, mathematics, and the four Cs (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity), students gain the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century.
