Learning the value of a job, one car at a time

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Kids are learning the value of having a job through a car detailing program at Wedgwood Christian Services. The service is open to anyone in the community. Appointments start when the students get out of school and continue until as late as 8 p.m. They thoroughly clean the inside and outside of cars. The program helps teach them the aspects of having a job, from attendance to earning a salary and how to work together as a team. They are scored every day so they can keep track of their progress. Wedgwood has similar programs for wood shop, lawn care, and small upholstery services. Click here for a list of all of their employment training programs.
