Learning the value of inner beauty

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Having a healthy self-esteem is the goal of a program called EveryBODY is Beautiful. The Michigan Eating Disorders Alliance partnered with Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital for the event. The goal is to help girls between the ages of ten and 14 get the tools they need to navigate adolescence with healthy self-esteem and a good body image. The girls and their parents enjoyed dress-up, photos, Zumba, and other activities. They learned that being beautiful is not just how you look on the outside, but also about being smart, strong, and how you treat other people.
