GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Spring and summer will soon be here, even though it may not feel like it outside. One sure sign of that is the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids opening for the season on Saturday, March 1. You can come see the animals and walk around the zoo. If it’s cold outside, you can warm up in one of the indoor areas, like Treasure of the Tropics, the aquarium, or the chimp indoor viewing area.
Admission to John Ball Zoo from March 1 through May 9 is only $5 for adults, $4 for children ages three to 13, and children two and younger are free.
Maranda goes behind the scenes to see how the zookeepers take care of the animals all winter long.
