GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) Valentine’s Day is almost here and if you’re looking for a tasty and healthy snack, you’ll love what Maranda whips up with Amanda from Priority Health!
A fun and beautiful dessert is dark chocolate covered strawberries. Melt dark chocolate chips in the microwave and simply dip the strawberries in the chocolate and let them cool in the fridge for 10 to 15 minutes. For added flair, you can melt white chocolate and drizzle it on top.
A lovely dish that is so simple to make is an angel food cake trifle. Layer pieces of angel food cake, any flavor pudding, and fruit or berries in a decorative glass.
You can also keep things easy by making a treat bag. Fill a sandwich bag with some chocolate treats, wrap them with a colorful ribbon, and add a little message for a sweet Valentine’s Day treat.
Each of these dishes is under 200 calories and includes healthy ingredients with calcium and antioxidants.
