GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) It’s a great feeling when you have things organized in your home. Jill from Goodwill shows us how you can live a clutter-free life, all while helping your community.
Organize your home by sorting items into bins. You can store shoes, clothes, or other items in bins. When they get full, go through them and find what you haven’t used in a while.
In the kids rooms, use bins to help them keep their books and toys organized. Every once in a while, let them help you go through everything. Find out what they’ve grown out of, what they don’t use anymore, or are too old to play with.
When you’re getting ready in the morning, take a look at your closet. What haven’t you worn in a year? Free up some hanger space and set it aside.
Keep a bag in your garage and every time you reorganize, put those items in your bag. When it gets full, take it to one of the 19 Goodwill locations in West Michigan. You’ll be helping with job training and placement services.
