Homework and hitting

First tee

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOTV) There’s no referee in the game of golf, so players need to use etiquette and honesty to keep track of their scores. That’s the idea First Tee of West Michigan uses for its Homework and Hitting program.

The program teaches values that are used in the game of golf, like integrity and responsibility, and teach those values to students. A separate part of the program allows students time to work on their homework and have access to tutoring.

Homework and Hitting takes place every Monday and Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Highlands in Grand Rapids and on Tuesdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Mary Waters Park in Grand Rapids. Call or email them to let them know you are coming!
