Happy National Pie Day!

Pie

There are so many different kinds of pie: apple, pumpkin, cherry, pecan, and more! January 23 is National Pie Day, so we brought in our friend Amy from United Dairy Industry of Michigan to teach us how to make an Easy Peasy Banana Cream Pie.

There are two variations of Easy Peasy Banana Cream Pie. One takes a more healthy approach with fat free whipped cream and fresh berries. But both are super simple! Try them both at home!

Easy Peasy Banana Cream Pie

1 graham cracker pie crust

1 ½ large bananas, sliced

2 – 3.4 oz. packages of instant vanilla pudding

2 cups low fat milk

2 cups whipped cream

Caramel drizzle to taste

Easy Peasy Blueberry Banana Delight

1 graham cracker pie crust

1 ½ large bananas, sliced

2 – 3.4 oz. packages of instant vanilla pudding

2 cups low fat milk

1 cup fat free whipped cream

1 cup blueberries

Instructions

  1. Line graham cracker crust with sliced bananas
  2. Mix instant vanilla pudding with milk. Once mixture is consistent, mix in one cup of whipped cream. Stir until well blended.
  3. Pour mixture into pie crust. Refrigerate for three hours or until pie is set.
  4. Top pie with ingredients of choice. For Easy Peasy Banana Cream Pie, top pie with one cup whipped cream, eight banana slices, and drizzle with caramel. For Easy Peasy Blueberry Banana Delight, top pie with one cup blueberries.
  5. Keep refrigerated. Serve cold. Enjoy!
